About the Department:

The Department of Accountancy was established as an independent department from the year 1972. Accountancy courses are compulsory papers in all semesters at UG and PG Level. Highly skilled and motivated teaching faculty aims to provide progressive learning experience to the students encouraging them to pursue professional courses along with graduation. The Department is vibrant, active and aims at student-centric activities for their holistic development and career advancement. The Department emphasises on collaborative learning practices that enhances technical, computational, critical thinking and interpersonal skills of the students.

Invited talks are organised throughout the year to enhance the employability skills of the students. To celebrate Golden Jubilee Year the Department has organised Alumni Talk Series for students to learn from their practical experiences. Wisdom Talk Series is organised on various topics to develop multi- disciplinary approach and to create responsible citizens.

The department organises annual activity related to ‘Understanding Budget’ for students in association with Local chapter of ICAI. The annual activity of ‘Abhyas Mahotsav: Education beyond the Books’ is also enjoyed by the students.

The department organises hands on training on Tally ERP-9, MS-Excel, E-filing of Income Tax Returns to develop IT skills related to the field of Accounting & Taxation.

The Department has signed a letter of collaboration with WIRC of ICAI for ‘TEL Program on Skill Enhancement’. This program will give students an opportunity to gain practical knowledge and will also improve their employability skills.
